Athletic Facilities

Things look new at Carthage because they are. Carthage has invested close to $250 million in recent years in living and learning spaces. Our athletic facilities offer a Division I experience in a Division III setting:

Tarble Arena received a dazzling renovation, turning it into an outstanding venue for basketball, volleyball, and special events. The arena includes an athletic training facility, indoor golf practice center, and strength training center.

The N. E. Tarble Athletic and Recreation Center features a 16-lane swimming pool, indoor rock climbing wall, 200-meter indoor track, racquetball courts, and a fitness center.

Art Keller Field offers a state-of-the-art AstroPlay surface, new bleachers, and a new press box.

In addition, Carthage offers a new-in-2023 softball field, the Smeds Tennis Center, and recently renovated Augie Schmidt Field.
